Great item
Great DVD writer. Works great. All I did was attach it to the PC and run the installation disk. It has given me no problems so far. Impressive
Don't trust the software
The drive itself probably deserves more than 3 stars but the software lets it down.
The actual drive of this item works fine. However don't trust the software (Roxio Creator 9 abridged version)
Everytime I tried to make a slideshow there always appeared a blank 5 seconds halfway through, no matter how long or short the show was.
I've tried copying discs (my own that work) and have only got a 50% success rate, which means you waste lots of discs.
I've gone back to Windows Movie maker and Nero for burning the discs. That works.
Amazing External - SIOCK
Amazing External Burner, it does everything you want it to do, although it does take its time when lightscribing. Great design, very quick and easy to use.
