Manufacturer's Description
Everything that you could affect as a captain; from team selection, coaching, nurturing young talent and making the vital decisions in the match can make the difference between a great winning team and a poor season. Take charge of a domestic or international team and steer them to victory through every match of the season. You control all aspects of the team's progress, from transfers, team selection and training, to detailed match tactics. Choose your bowlers, plan their line of attack, set their fields and then watch the highlights to see if you get that vital breakthrough. Ask your batsmen to make hay while the sun shines or defend through the fading light.

Small improvements but still samer game
Whilst this game has added a 3-D aspect to the game the overall gameplay has not changed since I baught 2001. The graphics on the 3D whilst improved from the 2-D format are still not that good. The hawkeye has stopped the odd LBW decisions and is interesting to see how tight the bowlers are bowling.
However the basic game structure is the same as it always has been. The coaching is still simple and with no statistics to show how good players are at different shot it is difficult to see improvement. This also makes it difficult to see how good youth players are.
Whilst there has been a small improvment the gameplay is still the same even after many years. I would not recommend it especially for the price as Cricket coach looks better and is cheaper.
Same thing re-decorated
I cancelled my order for this after playing the demo. It seems exactly the same to me but with a new look. However, I think the new look in the menus is a step backwards and looks poor.
The graphics are terrible and repetitive and in my opinion needless. This game is more about the stats and realism to me but I just find it boring after playing the same thing since 1998. That is almost a decade now!!
Good game but help needed
I got this game a few weeks ago now and originally installed it on my desktop computer, Its a big improvement on the previous versions and even though the new highlights are not as good as you may expect from a modern game they give you a clear idea of what shot is being played. However i then installed it on my laptop and whenever i start a season or a tournament it crashes after i finish the first game, i e-mailed the customer suport but they havn't got back to me so i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
