Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
The success of the Fron Male Voice Choir’s debut album, Voices of the Valley, was so vast that a follow up was inevitable. Voices of the Valley Encore is actually much more than a lazy cash-in from the world’s oldest boy-band (ages range from 16 to 60). Timed to coincide with the choir’s 60th anniversary, the project features erudite direction from Ann Atkinson and instrumental accompaniments from Jon Cohen, and the "boys" once again get to sing their way through a heady mix of pop standards ("Yesterday"), hymns ("Amazing Grace") and even a splash of opera ("Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves" from Verdi’s Nabucco). There’s also some filmic material ("Exodus") and a rousing West-End style finale in the shape of "The Rhythm of Life," featuring Michael Ball. It’s an encore worthy of an ovation. --Danny McKenna

CD Description
Second album from Welsh male voice choir. A masterclass in choral singing that will blow away fans of the genre, this album does for male voice choirs what Paul Potts did for opera. Includes the tracks 'Yesterday', 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and 'Amazing Grace'.

When's the next one coming??!5
The first cd is still in the charts, so that speaks for itself as to how good it was. I think this one is just as good, if not even better and is out just in time for Christmas (would make an excellent gift)! They say that the welsh can sing and this is just further evidence for it - can't wait to see if they'll release a third one!

Even beter than the first5
We bought the first 'Voices of the Valley' album in November last year, and associate that time with the music of the album, which we listened to throughout the holiday season and into the new year. Having just bought this second one, we are delighted to find the new one is at least as inspirational and uplifting as the first, and we look forward to a Christmas during which we will listen to and enjoy both!

A wonderful example of a WELSH male voice choir!5
When I listened to the CD for the 1st time the hairs on the back of my neck stood up! I have the CD on in my car constantly and it's still happening. The vocals are dreamy and sound wonderful and clear. Well done Fron you've done it again, and astonishingly it's even better than the last! You are a fabulous example of a TRUE WELSH MALE VOICE CHOIR!!!!
