DVD Description
Over the past 60 years, India has changed more rapidly than any other nation on the planet. In fields as diverse as agriculture, medical research and information technology, India already leads the world.

In this captivating tv documentary, comedian and writer Sanjeev Bhaskar follows his quest to get under the skin of modern India. His travels take him from the deserts of Rajasthan to the lush tea plantations of Darjeeling, high into the Himalayas, along the course of the holy river Ganges and across the border to Pakistan on a mission to find the ancestral homeland that his family left behind. This upbeat adventure is set against the backdrop of a country without visual equal.

India with Sanjeev Bhaskar presents an unforgettable journey through India visiting stunning palaces, chaotic cities and beautiful beaches, that also follows Sanjeev’s emotional journey to his father's former home, now in Pakistan. It’s also a personal, colourful and comic look at one of the world's next superpowers.

Synopsis
Sanjeev Bhaskar takes a closer look at how India has changed during the past 60 years.

'Thoroughly entertaining look at India'5
Having read the reviews below, after purchasing the DVD's elsewhere, I was slightly apprehensive. However, I was not disappointed. Both my husband and I were thoroughly entertained. Given that we are visiting India for a holiday in March, the DVD's made us all the more excited about going there.

It is clearly not an 'academic' type look at India which to me is quite obvious from the description. It is someone's lighthearted account of this fascinating country and personally I thought Sanjeev was very entertaining and made the people he met on his journey feel at ease. I would definately recommend this DVD for those who want a 'not to heavy' approach.

Save your money!!2
I have seen a couple of these programs on TV and was very surprised and disappointed by the poor quality. I did not know that the presenter was a comedian and he really was not funny! I could not help feeling angry about the way Sanjeev Bhaskar "interviewed" the Indian people in such an unprofessional way.
Do not buy it!

Did not do it for me...1
India is a thrilling and amazing country and this documentary did not get this across. It seemed to me a documentary for fans of this 'comedian' rather than anything to do with India. Watch something else or better still, just go.
