A Soliders War
I bought this dvd, not really knowing what to expect. Its a soldiers aspect of a very modern War. Back in 2005 Lima Company was the hardest hit Unit within the US Military. With a total of 26 KIA's within a very short space of time. The Documentary Follows the men throughout there Tour of Duty using footage shot by the men, while engaging in major Contacts and during there down time. Conbined with individual emotional heart felt interviews with some of the key memebers of the company and also engages in interviews of relatives of some of the KIA's. It really brings home the human loss and even the most modern Army can still find themselves up against it.
I would definatly recommend this DVD to anyone that wants to understand the War in Iraq better. It contains some graphic images or war, so may not be for some. But it really shows the truth behind war.
Up there with Ross Kemp in afghanistan as a standard of war documentary making.
