Customer Reviews
A good game for younger players - tedious for older kids
Video games are a case of horses for courses. Sophisticated teens won't find much to thrill them in this simplistic arcade-style game aimed, I should say, at 10 year olds. However, the combo moves are simple enough for a savvy youngster to master and the characters' movement is arcade-style, moving in two dimensions through a three-dimensional world.
A storyline involving the evil Lord Zedd and a plot to destroy the timeline - and every Power Ranger with it - enables all the heroes from the TV series' history to make an appearance. There's plenty of fisticuffs and cool martial arts stuff, but it does take a lot of slogging through some very similar challenges on successive levels before anything genuinely new and interesting happens. For this reason, older players would get bored quite quickly, although there's plenty of scope for younger gamers to gradually build up their skills and dexterity.
Two-person co-operative play enables a couple of kids to join forces to fight enemies, solve puzzles and take part in set-piece battles - or lone play is also an option.
