Amazon.co.uk Review
Billed very much as a meeting of East and West, and perhaps the most successful action-comedy trilogy of the last decade, the Rush Hour movies have earned over a billion dollars worldwide, courtesy of some smart action, and scripts that never take themselves too seriously.
And, of course, much of the appeal lies at the heart of its mismatched leading pair. All three of the films have made plenty of Chris Tucker’s loudmouth American rule-breaking cop, and Jackie Chan’s respectful Eastern martial arts expert who does everything by the book. It’s this culture clash, and the engaging actors, that has catapulted Rush Hour into one of modern cinema’s most successful franchises.
As is the case with most trilogies, there’s a rule of diminishing returns here, with the first Rush Hour being the best. In the original, the two lead characters become reluctant partners to solve an otherwise forgettable case, generating plenty of laughs and delivering some smashing action. Rush Hour 2 moves the plot onto to uncovering a counterfeit ring, but it soon again takes a back seat to more fooling around, and more entertainment. By Rush Hour 3 any notion of tangible story had long since left the building, allowing the two stars to strut their stuff, once again delivering at the box office.
Few would build an argument for the Rush Hour Trilogy being classics of modern cinema. But conversely, there’s a lot to be said for a trio of films that put fun very firmly at the top of their agenda. That’s why all three are set to be watched and enjoyed time and time again. --Jon Foster
Synopsis
Box set containing all three films in the popular action comedy series that sees mismatched cops from seemingly different worlds—Hong Kong Detective Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan – RUMBLE IN THE BRONX, SHANGHAI NOON) and L.A. Detective Carter (Chris Tucker – FRIDAY, DEAD PRESIDENTS)—unite to solve crime on both sides of the world.

Rush Hour Trilogy - Surely Rush 3 Hours?
This totally does what it says on the tin - the Rush Hour Trilogy. But a word of warning - if you have any of these alone on DVD this trilogy is literally the three retail DVDs in a cardboard case. Same features, same everything, just in a cardboard case. BUT, Amazon says that this is a 3 disc set - it's actually a 4 disc set with the double disker of RUSH HOUR 3. The films are great though so if you don't own any it's a great set. If you already own RH and RH2, just buy the double DVD of RH3 and you'll have exactly the same set (minus the cardboard sleeve) instead of forking out for DVD's you already own.
Brilliant
Brilliant value for money. 3 fantastic films in one. Very, Very Funny.
Highly recommended.
Three very good action comedies for a great price!
The first two Rush Hour films are the best ones the second film being my personal favourite but, Rush Hour 3 is still a good film and worth having. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan have never bettered these films yet. I did find Tucker's D.J. performance in the Fifth Element to be funny and enjoyed Police Story which starred Jackie Chan. Tucker and Chain make the best buddie team since Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in the Lethal Weapon films. One of the reasons I enjoyed Rush Hour 2 the most is because it had Zhang Ziyi playing a great female assassin who has starred in these great films Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of Geisha and The Warrior. Also it has the better stunts and made me laugh more then the other two did. Three good fun action films worth buying at this great price enjoy I did.
