GREAT!!!
I am a HUGE Spice Girls fan. I loved all the songs on this album, except for Headlines, which I really do not like. I hope that the Spice Girls will bring out another song in the near future!
The Greatest, Greatest Hits Collection Of All Time
It doesn't matter if the Spice Girls weren't the best singers or dancers of all time, they still produced some ground breaking music and won't be forgotten for a long time to come. This album has everything you could want, fun upbeat songs such as "Who Do You Think You Are", to the beautiful ballads such as "Viva Forever", New songs like the beautiful "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" and classics such as "Wannabe".
I decided to rate each song as a way of deciding how the good the album is.
[1] Wannabe - [5/5]
Although not their best song, definitely the song they will be remembered for the most. This song is so unlike anything else that was or has been made. A very upbeat song that everyone will enjoy and definitely the Spice Girls classic song.
[2] Say You'll Be There - [5/5]
One of their catchiest songs made. Definitely one of their best produced songs with lots of catchy hooks and solo's from all the Spice's. Really makes you want to get up and dance!
[3] 2 Become 1 - [5/5]
One of the most beautiful songs ever made. Albeit a tad rude for the younger generations that listened to it. Still, a very beautiful song with a lot of meaning behind it that many people can relate to.
[4] Mama - [4/5]
Although not one of my favorite songs, its still a beautiful song, although a tad cheesy. Very catchy tune though that you can't get out of your head.
[5] Who Do You Think You Are - [5/5]
Definitely one of my favorite songs by the Spice's. Upbeat, fun and catchy. Really shows the Spice Girls at the best and at the height of Spicemania! To this day it still sounds modern and easy to dance to. A Classic!
[6] Move Over - [3/5]
Wasn't one of their singles, so it confuses me as to why it is on the Greatest Hits. This song was for the Pepsi advert. I don't mind the song, but it's not up there along with all their other songs.
[7] Spice Up Your Life - [5/5]
Again, one of my favorite Spice Girls songs. So catchy and exciting. It was fresh and different. Highlight of their career in many cases and definitely deserves to be recognised as one of their best songs!
[8] Too Much - [5/5]
Another beautiful ballad by the Spice Girls. The song that went along with the release of their movie "Spiceworld! The Movie". One of the tracks that portrays their voices at the strongest.
[9] Stop! - [4/5]
A fun song. Upbeat and something that sounds like it stepped out of the 60's into the 90's. Although not one of my favorites, still a classic song for true Spice Girls fans.
[10] Viva Forever - [5/5]
By far, the best Spice Girls song ever, ever, EVER recorded. If not one of the greatest ballads ever recorded. Emma's voice especially is beautiful in this song. Geri's last song with the Spice Girls, and a truly deep and meaningful song.
[11] Let Love Lead The Way - [4/5]
Everyone seems to not remember this song, and when they hear it, don't have a lot to say about it. Not the best song by the Spice's, but a beautiful meaning behind it about friendship and the loss of Geri. Under appreciated in my eyes, and a beautiful ballad yet again.
[12] Holler - [4/5]
Again, not one of their best. This song show's the Spices trying to be all grown up and mature, and they don't pull it off aswell as they had done with previous songs. Easily forgotten, although still a catchy song.
[13] Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) - [4/5]
New single by the Spice Girls. A little bit boring i agree, But it really shows how they've all matured, and its a beautiful tribute to themselves and their fans.
[14] Voodoo - [2/5]
Don't know what they were thinking. Sounds like a demonic love child between "Who Do You Think You Are" and "Spice Up Your Life". Yeah catchy for a bit, but they really sound like they couldn't be bothered when recording it.
[15] Goodbye - [5/5]
One of their best songs. Beautifully written, Beautifully sung, and although they don't say it is about Geri, it fits in perfectly with the idea of a lost loved one. Beautiful and one of the girls finest moments.
Overall, the Spice Girls had the best of everything. Upbeat tunes and beautiful Ballads. this album is definitely worth buying if your a Spice Girls fan or if your not. BUY THIS ALBUM!
