CD Description
The follow-up to 2005's platinum selling world wide hit 'Bright Idea' shows American five piece Orson exploring their heavier side. Recorded in early 2007 at Roundhouse Studios inLondon, 'Culture Vultures' reunites the band with producer Noah Shane and sees Orson maturing as songwriters, drawing on the influences of 90's British rock acts. The album delivers a far more intense and anthemic collection of tracks thanits predecessor. Includes the single 'Ain't No Party.'

2nd Album Masterpiece5
What can I say this album rocks :)

If you liked Bright Idea you will LOVE this album from poppy Aint No Party to the motowny Broken Watch this album is a must for anyone wanting to add to their music collection.Soft rock master pieces that make you want to sing ya heart out. This Northern Girl thinks its Gorgeous .

Absolutely brilliant. Bright Idea was really good but this is better. From the moment you get into Radio you will be strumming your air guitar and singing along to every track. Nicely fading into the pop tune of Aint No Party. Broken Watch starts slowly but moves into a fast pace, a great tune you dont want to end. The Contortionist is great, Gorgeous and Debbies Gone are okay. Where You Are slows the pace down a bit. Little Miss Lost & Found is a bit doo-wop'ish and i found myself thinking about the Beach Boys sound, strange. Northern Girl is my favourite track, slowish and melodic but great to sing along to. Cool Cops and a good singing finish with Everybody.
This will be constantly be played while driving in the car and most always be playing on the ipod and very very loud. Enjoy

It's OK...2
I was excited to hear that Orson were bringing out a new album, after having listened to 'Bright Idea' so much, and loving it.

Unfortunately, however, I feel that Orson are suffering from 'second album syndrome' (where a band has a great first album and a not so great second).

I switched it on in my Cd player, and was amazed at 'Radio' - a very listenable song which you could repeatedly listen to over and over again/
I had already heard 'Aint No Party' and really liked it.

But, however, the rest of album is what is disappointing. All of the songs sound exactly the same, and it also sounds like their singer has begun to lose his voice in some of them!

So, to sum up. I'm a little disappointed with it - after being so excited after seeing on the HMV website early this year that they had a new album coming out. The first and second tracks are great - but the rest are not.

Buy this album if you must, but I wouldn't recommend it.
