More than just retro5
This case is great, and not just for the retro value. It feels like a quality product that will last a lifetime - like my dads old ones. It does not restrict the use of any buttons or features. The inside is lined with really soft material and the whole package feels like it will protect the camera from attack.
I originally bought the alternative case for the g7/g9 (think its about £17 on amazon) however i later bought this. Im so happy i did! i know its more than twice the price, but i think its really worth it for such a nice camera.

Fantastic Case - Difficult to Obtain5
This camera case is fantastic - though you'll find it hard to get hold of one. Why - I don't know - ask Cannon - they should be making these as they are the best fit for the camera and sure to be a great seller.
It fits the camera perfectly and so easy to go from cased to ready to catch a shot. Great build and firm closure on the snap buttons. The lining is soft and slightly padded to ensure the camera is never loose inside. The locking connection is excellent and easy to remove the camera from the case for battery changes or card removal. The case also has the external thread for tripod mounting so no need to remove the case.

Retro SC - DC55A Camera Case5
I use old 1960's rangefinder film cameras alongside digital so was really chuffed to find a case for my G9 constructed in the same vein as my old cameras. The quality is very good and the securing studs are very solid - you don't need to worry about the case falling off when undone to shoot.

I have rated the item 5 stars as it is exactly what i wanted - however - i do think it is quite expensive for what it is, but then again, it enhances the look and grip of the camera and obviously protects it.

Overall - highly recommended
