Next to Useless
I bought this with my Zen a while back and found it to be a total pain. It is difficult to get on although once it is on it is solid. The big complaint is that you cannot see the screen at all so if you want to change album etc you have to take it out which basically involves taking the whole thing off!
Very poor design considering what is out there for the ipod.
Fiddly To Use
The ZEN armband is a neoprene band with a velcro patch to secure it. However, holding it on your upper arm and tightening it is a challenge which every time I think I have succeeded my run proves I haven't as it slips slowly down my arm. The case has indentations where the controls are with symbols and if you have set up what you want to listen to then it works well but one slip or extra press of the button you will be listening to another album and you will have to take the player out of the holder to reset. The band is well made and finished off but it could have done with just a little more thought.
More than you pay for - and not in a good way
The basic idea of the armband is good. It was a bit fiddly to put on - but I expected to get better with practice. However, the first time I wore it at the gym I came out in a rash on my arm. In case it was a coincidence, I tried the other arm. Another rash.
It's actually very difficult to get in touch with Creative - not that I'm sure they can do anything. I'm assuming it's an allergic reaction - although I suspect the material just doesn't let the skin breathe. As would have thought people would want to use it at the gym, I would have thought the choice of material was important. (Or maybe it is just me!)
