Easy Operation

Crystal clear display coupled with a simple user interface means that you can find your music, video and photos quickly and easily. Intuitively designed, the WALKMAN video offers enhanced searching (and cover art display) meaning you can conveniently access every classification (artist/album/genre etc) from the Now Playing page.

Video Playback

Video playback lets you play video 'podcasts', downloaded content from other internet sites, TV content recorded directly to your PC, and even movies you shot on your camcorder.

It's versatile and easy to use. You can change screen format from vertical (portrait) to horizontal widescreen (landscape) and you can zoom in during playback. Stores up to 1000 video files. High speed playback, up to 30 frames per second for smooth viewing.

With the 8GB version, you can store as much as 32 hours of video (at 384kbs).

Photo Playback

4 Clear Audio Technologies

WALKMAN has always stood for the highest quality portable audio. The WALKMAN video NWZA has four `Clear Audio' technologies:

Clear Stereo: Technology keeping the two signals clearly separate. So what you should be hearing in your left ear will never `leak' into the right ear.

Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE): This unique feature improves compressed audio quality restoring high frequency signals to poor recording.

Clear Bass: Gives clear, rich bass without distortion.

excellent MP3
I have both ipod classic and ipod nano, to be frank none of the ipods come near to walkman MWZA816B, the sound is superb and of very high qaulity, the earbud which come with it is excellent, I even tried it with pro-headphone, without noticing any fault in music qaulity. stick to sony's earphones and you will be better of. if you have small library of albums the 816 is the right set for you.
I hope you will enjoy your unit the way I enjoy mine.

Read loads of reviews on here & decided to get one of these. I was a bit concerned about transfering the music as my computer is a bit on the old side but I needn't have bothered. Switched the Walkman on, plugged it in & dragged & dropped the files. No problem. Really fast transfer time to. The sound quality is soo much better than other MP3 players I've had too. I can't praise it enough. If you can't decided what to buy take my advice and look no further.

Received this yesterday and couldn't be happier with it. Charged in 3 hours, intuitive to use, sound quality is superb and the headphones are incredibly well designed and unlike any i've ever come across. PC recognised it without installing software, and i had 750 track on it within an hour. Menus are easy to navigate, the equaliser is a great tool and it automatically levels out the track volumes so my Billy Holiday sounds as loud as my Arctic Monkeys. I didn't buy it for video but the sample one pre-loaded looked amazing. Only negatives really are the headphone jack going into the bottom and the headphone cable comes in 2 parts with a jack to join them which seems daft but doesn't cause any problems. Would have been good if it had a clip to attach it to yourself but am sure they can be bought. Overall a great little thing and i love it.
