Average customer review:Product Description
'Mothership' is a collection of songs by one of the greatest and most influential hard rock bands of all time. Led Zeppelin's sound is hard to label within one particular genre; Jimmy Page's enigmatic guitar-playing style varies from psychedelic blues to machine-gun heavy metal; John Paul Jones andJohn Bonham provide the multi-layered rhythmic backbone; while Robert Plant's distinctive, powerful vocals bring an element of soul to the group. The band's eight studio albums are all represented here, with 'Whole Lotta Love', 'Stairway To Heaven' and 'Kashmir' examples of stand out tracks, thoughit's difficult to find one that isn't.

Customer Reviews
The same old song
If you already have Led Zeppelin CD's, especially "Remasters", then this probably is not for you as you will probably have much or all of it already.
If you have none, then this is probably the best buy for you. Two CD's of the best tracks AND a DVD. What a bargain!
I guess a Bargain or Rip-Off depends on your current collection.
DVD wrong region
Beware when buying this. My first copy of this was returned due to the DVD being region 1 NTSC format, it's replacement was also region 1 NTSC. Unfortuntely my TV does not support NTSC, it has now been returned for a refund.
Led down the stairway
Some people over the last few weeks have acted as if the reformation of Led zeppelin was the second coming, this compilation should be called "We saw you coming"instead.
Led zeppelin fans(Of which i am one)deserve better than this,if you are new to the band musically this is a cheap (and shoddy)way of getting into them,Zeppelin are musical giants, and this compilation fails them by a long way,There are no new tracks on this album and all tracks will be familiar to Fans, the tracks are all brilliantly performed but they stem from the other albums they were originally recorded for.and sound odd in this Configuration.
If you want to hear Zep in their full glory Listen to ALL of the original albums and then try "Remasters""How the west was Won"and the glorius "Led zeppelin"DVD to hear how Zep should be heard, and whoever designed the Package, should be forced to listen to Girls Aloud at maximum volume!!!
