Not THAT bad,
Come on people lighten up a bit here, its not TERRIBLE! it works, it can be played its just not fantastic, I got this along with Game Party and I don't think its as good. Yes there are more games but they feel very repetitive and to be honest once we had got through the lot once we were bored. I think this is a fun little game for a group and a decent way to have a bit of fun with friends but its not Sonic Olympics but then its nowhere near as hard to play. I wouldn't recommend that you rush out and buy it now but if you see it on sale for a tenner then give it a try. To those of you who may think it deserves a 1 star review please think of all those games we have waited for to have them released as bug riddled unplayable horrors (Elite 2 springs to mind) that rates as a 1!
No fun at all
I'm not a hardcore gamer, so I love the wii and most games on it. BUT...I hate Carnival! You get 3 goes at whatever you're playing, so naturally the highest success rate you get is 3. Not much fun when you've played it a few times and have a fair idea of what you're doing.
Carnival has taken all those irritatingly impossible fun fair games (designed for people to lose - obviously so they don't have to dish out prizes). Take these impossible games and put them in a video game. This makes them almost, if not more, impossible than the real thing.
I've had no fun playing carnival.. I just get frustrated and feel like an idiot. The wii seems to decide whether you win or lose and it's down to luck rather than actually being able to play the game! Probably about 2 hours (at most) of fun in this game.
I suggest you rent it (or borrow it) before you buy!
Rent or borrow before buying!!!
Got this after seeing the advert on TV (they make it look good), what complete and utter rubbish, my 5 year old son enjoyed it for a while but doesn't play it any more, lent it to some friends who have young kids and they thought it was crap too!! I bought it for £15 off Play.com and I don't think it is worth that amount. It's alright for very young kids if you can get it very cheap, otherwise, save your money.
