Customer Reviews

Best management game yet, simple as4
fifa manager 08 is, in my opinion the best and most realistic manager game there is around. i'm used to playing football manager but didn't get the recent one simply because they are basically the same game each year just with updated transfers.
Fifa manager 08 gives you so much more. you can manage and play for your team at the same time with the player manager mode, you have a private life in the game where you earn money and spend it on things such as houses and cars etc, and you can learn to play golf and sail to be closer to the club owners. Also you can learn different languages incase you decide to move and manager abroad.

Positives:
1. Player manager mode, play for the club you manage and show the players how it's done
2. Watch your team in the 3d match (unlike football manager which is a lame 2d match with little circles moving around)
3. The youth setup, here you can build youth centres all over the world to boost the future of your club and discover future ronaldinho's.
4. You interact with the players more and tell them what you think of them and whether they deserve a starting 11 place, or if they are impressing you
5. You get lots of job offers from other teams and from national teams if your doing your current job well. (if not you might end up at derby, god forbid)
6. The league's aren't dominated by the so called 'big teams'. it's more open and also anyone can get relegated. (my first season in the premier league and arsenal went down!)

there are many more positive aspects to the game but i've only listed a few.

Slight negative issues:

1. The 3D pitch is graphical like previous fifa's it's not up to date with 08, or as a matter of fact 07 or 06.

I rate this game highly and if you want to challenge yourself as a manager then this is the game for you, a must buy

this is an excellent game5
This is better than any other management game currnetly out there. Not as in depth as FM but that's a good thing. Massive improvement on 07 and the graphics and gameplay put FM/CM to shame.

It really is an enjoyable football manager game. Just enough depth in transfers/ scouting and training to build a great team but not so much info (like some others) that you are overwhelemd with silly tactics for every game.

Get it!

FIFA manager 08 just gets better5
I have brought each version year after year, but this one is the best yet. FIFA manager 07 was very good, but in 3D matches, the ball seemed to go out for a throw far too often, and free kicks were given away always too easily. This year the graphics have not changed that much (you get the "Extra time" add ons that were launched mid last year) but the gameplay in 3D is so much better. The moves and reactions are so much better. It is the closet to a real matches that I have seen in this FIFA manager series, and I play it a lot each week for a number of years! So, as the last reviewer said...
