Customer Reviews
Best value - ever!
This must be the Christmas music bargain of the year. All the great songs are here yet it is cheap enough to warrant the short period we tend to listen to such music. Well done Amazon!
Silver Bells, Golden Stars
Just when I thought a nostalgic Christmas was over I came across this super 2 CD set from NotNow. The set boasts 50 songs and a whole host of well known stars too. It is good to have a mix of both American and British stars represented and there are even duets.
This is a welcome addition to the Christmas titles offering something just a little different and with Eartha Kitt, David Whitfield, Dickie Valentine, Bing, Dick, Frank, Perry, Nat, Ella, Peggy and Judy to serenade you whilst you cook that traditional roast turkey what more could you ask for?
Favourite songs for me are "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"; "Silver Bells"; "Santa Claus got Stuck in My Chimney" and the traditional carols.
Good sound throughout and attractive packaging make this a great gift too.
disappointed by a slow cd
If you like old fashioned slow songs then you may love this, if you are of the older generation you may love this CD. But me, being 36, hated it, it was far too slow and boring and a complete waste of money, I won't listen again, it will make a good Christmas present for my wife's parents - they will love it - I just hope they don't play it in front of me!
Sorry to be so negative, but like all Amazon reviews you can only say what you think!! If you are looking for upbeat lively music look else where!
OK, I am editing as I listen, in the interests of fairness.
White Christmas - that was fine and I had heard it before - enjoyed it.
A merry little Xmas - throaty and warbly but ok.
Chestnuts on Fire - a little slow but ok.
Santa Baby - little slow, bit of beat - not my cup of tea - seasonal.
Santa coming to town - now that more like it!!!
Sleigh Ride - Jolly.
Here Comes Santa - ok.
Winter Wonderland - Jolly.
Let it snow - too slow, the version on Die Hard much better
Jingle Bells - picked up / bit slow.
Rudolph - quite jolly - bit childish.
Frosty - ok but still slow
Two front teeth - sorry bit childish for me.
Too look like Christmas - my wife says Asda using this song - keep it.
Silver Bells - not sure how much more I can take...
Sorry but I am being totally underwhelmed now - if anything grabs me - I will let you know - the 2nd CD is more underwhelming to me than this the first.
I thought I had lost all this!! Will have to listen again to first CD! It did get boring as it went on, sorry, but it wasn't bad. The second CD is doing nothing for me at all, it is on now!
