Manufacturer's Description

The Beowulf video game takes players deep into groundbreaking director Robert ZemeckisâEuro(TM) vision of the classic saga, Beowulf. Gamers live the life of Beowulf, the legendary Norse warrior with the strength of 30 men who is torn between the nobility and brutality within him. Arrogant, self-serving and lustful for gold and glory, Beowulf will journey to Denmark to destroy a bloodthirsty beast wreaking havoc on a frigid land. But evil persists, and Beowulf succumbs to its lure of even greater fame, quietly maneuvering to claim the Danish throne. As King, Beowulf must face the consequences of ambition, even as war descends on the realm. As Beowulf, players lead their men, called thanes, into battle, slay the Titans of a dying age and crush the enemies that threaten to annihilate both their kingdom and people. Only then, when Beowulf looks Destiny in the eye, will he know what kind of hero he has truly become.

âEurooeUbisoft, Paramount Pictures and Shangri-La Entertainment have been working extremely close in developing Beowulf,âEuro said Gilles Matouba, creative director at Ubisoft. âEurooeFrom the very beginning, we have had an unprecedented level of access to information and assets from the movie. This access, coupled with the creative and technological abilities of our team, has allowed us to capture aspects of the film and translate them perfectly into compelling game play elements such as the visceral hand-to-hand combat, dynamic swordplay and amazing visuals, while giving us the creative liberty to go even further by creating exclusive content for the game that is unexplored by the film and even the classic tale.âEuro

âEurooeThe talented creators at Ubisoft are transforming our vision of the film into an interactive experience that extends the epic adventure far beyond its classic storyline,âEuro said Robert Zemeckis, director of Beowulf. âEurooeWeâEuro(TM)ve been thoroughly impressed with what weâEuro(TM)ve seen from the game makers and are confident that gamers will find it to be an immersive and entertaining experience that goes far beyond the traditional movie-licensed game.âEuro

I don't get why people don't like this4
Right Beowulf is not exactly a flawless game but not much games are.People these days are always looking at whats bad and not whats good.If youre a fan of god of war or anything in that gender then you'll probolly like this. It's got lots of boses monsters button mashing button sequensing and lots and lots of blood. In the game as well as playing as Beowulf you leed a small band of Thanes to assist you in your adventures. I'am going to give this game four stars because as I said it's not perfect as the gameplay feels a little weak at points but if your a fan of hack'n'slash bloodbaths then you should deffinetly check this one out.

Beowulf: XBox 360 Review5
Well, considering that most movie spin off games are generally extremely poor, this one bucks the trend. Fantastic hack & slash gameplay, with loads of challenges and cutscenes really makes this a more than worthy game for any XBox player. I haven't seen the movie yet but I probably now will after playing this game so, if you're looking for a fun hack & slash game with an exciting and engaging storyline, buy this game!

Loved the film, hate the game! My little gang of 5 against 12 million enemies who have to be slashed and stabbed 165 times each before they die whereas I only have to be shoulder charged to end up dead, and have to start the tiresome process all over again. The mini games are awful too, hit the buttons in time and progress, should be fun but isn't. 2 OR 3 minutes in and you're bored senseless, and they take about half an hour to do !Becomes tedious and not worth the effort. One word ... AVOID !
