Manufacturer's Description
The Wii Remote and Nunchuk both take on a new feeling when placed within the Wii Zapper. In Links Crossbow Training players use the Wii Remote in the Wii Zapper to aim at targets on the screen, with the Nunchuk controlling movement. On the Wii Remote, players simply press down the trigger (the B Button) to fire, or continue the pressure for a more powerful shot. They can also re-position themselves, turning in different directions by aiming the pointer off-screen. On the Nunchuk the Z-Button acts as a zoom function for the camera so that the shot is completely on target. Links Crossbow Training sees each player take on the role of Link in a series of exciting and fast-paced challenges set in the world of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Players can get accustomed to the Wii Zapper with Links Crossbow Training and practice Target Shooting as well as the Defender and Ranger modes, ensuring an action-packed experience in numerous stages spread over nine levels. The object of each stage is to achieve the highest score before the time limit expires. Utilising the innovative Wii Zapper allows players to take aim and fully immerse themselves into the game in a completely new way!
Customer Reviews
Very Disappointing
Its looks the business, but its not very practical. Aiming by moving the whole unit and trying to move using the nunchuck, which is joined to the unit, is a bit awkward. To be honest its a bit of a nightmare and not very fun at all. The shooting side of things is also very awkward and not what you'd expect. For the right handed out there (and thats most of us) your trigger finger is your right index finger. You don't actually use this to fire when using the zapper. You have to aim and shoot with your left hand. It just doesn't feel right. You could try switching hands on the zapper (left controlling the nunchuck and right controlling the remote) but that doesn't feel right either. Its a shame cause it does look good and in theory should be a good fun piece of kit, but i would say its more suited to lefties. I've not used mine in ages. Its more fun playing the games without it. Nevermind, eh? Now how am i going to get my money back?!
Very good accessory
I gave this item 3 stars for fun, as the fun really begins when you buy games that would benefit from it.
The wii zapper is, without a doubt, the best light gun available for the wii, as it's the official one, there is literally nothing wrong with it.
The games that spring to mind that use this are Ghost squad, Resident evil umbrella chronicles, and House of the dead return.
These games all highly benefit from it.
The feel of the gun is good, you can hold it left or right handed. The gun is pure plastic, but its not uncomfortable. I would highly reccomend buying the wii zapper.
As for the game, it's a spin off, with no story, just pure target training. I have played it three times, and i've had this since christmas 2007, so whatever you do, dont buy the zapper for the game included.
Overall, this product is great, but i would reccomend buying it with a game such as Ghost Squad, Umbrella chronicals or House of the dead.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this game. I'd repeat how much I love it more but you should get the idea. I'm totally kicking my fiance's ass and he is not happy. I actually think theres a secret assasin in me. Am fighting to get my last 2 platinum medals but its so much fun that I'm enjoying it all the way. And now that I'm almost finished with the "training" I think they should bring out the real deal. I'll be lining up to get it as soon as it comes out
