Viewty Not Vista Compatible!!!!!3
I WAS planning to get this phone BUT after reading a few articles on Google i today phoned LG who told me this phone is NOT compatible with Vista-nor are any other LG phones. You would be able to store any pictures and vids on a memory card and use that to transfer between phone and pc but you cannot access the phone/email/phonebook etc- you cant sync it with your computer, so now i am back to square one, probably awaiting the release of Nokias N85.
Im just glad i found this out before i got one, its about time LG caught up -its a bit of a joke that the phones they are releasing are STILL NOT compatible.

Don't buy this phone1
Really nice features.

But...

Touch screen: to select is abreeze, but scrolling? Forget it. It just doesn't work

Battery: Forget the claims. The battery life is terrible. Unused, it lasts about 6 days. In use, a few hours.

In France recently. The phone was charged all night, off charge 6am. By 2pm battery was dead. I only found out while waiting for an important call!!

Get another phone.

4 months later3
I have had my LG Viewty for about 4 months now and I've given it 3 out of 5.

The Viewty is a very smart looking phone, I was pretty much sold on it as soon as I saw it, however after 4 months I don't quite feel the same.

The problems that I experience with it are as follows:

- Texting is really difficult, if you make a mistake scrolling back to sort it out is a nightmare!! It is also very slow going to text someone I find (and my fingers aren't big).

- The stylus really annoys me!! It just hangs there and dangles around, I have actually even scratched my screen using the stylus (and i wasn't pressing hard either) so I was really annoyed about that.

- Calls can't be heard, I have to speak up really loudly and the phone is also uncomfortable to hold for say a half hour conversation.

- As i'm with orange I wanted to take advantage of downloading pictures on orange world as its' free....and i'm told my phone isn't supported. So much for buying the latest thing then.

- Youtube buffers to 1% then disconnects and nothing I can do will make it work.

Overall the phone is nice, it has lots of nice features but it's a bit of a disappointment to me. To be honest I am always in a rush and the only time this phone really is nice to have around is when i'm browsing the net infront of the TV or something...I find it a real pain to be honest and even the internet has stopped working lately although I think that's more down to Orange than LG.

Overall, it's ok....the camera is "alright", I don't find it anything to write home about although it's much better than others that i've had. The software that comes with the phone sucks in a really big way which is just another thing that I have an issue with.

I wish that I hadn't locked myself into an 18month contract just so I could try this phone.....what a disappointment, at least i'm happy with my tariff though (but i'd rather have had the iphone on 02).
