Fisual Hollywood HDMI Cable
Like many this was my first purchase of an HDMI Cable, to go with my recent Amazon purchase of the really excellent Panasonic DMR-EX77EB-K - 160GB Hard Drive DVD Recorder - With 1080P Up-Conversion & Freeview (Best Price too).

Having looked at several prices of HDMI cables i.e. a Nationwide High St. Electrical store quoting £99.95 for a 2m Monster cable (highly acclaimed cables) to some unheard of manufacturers product price at £24.95. I was concerned and confused about whether to spend a huge amount of money on a top end cable or go for a more realistically priced one.

I researched online and in magazines and found that there were other factors to take into account such as the HDMI version supported, which determines the functionality of the cable / TV etc.

Then I read a couple of good reports online at sites like AV Forums recommending Fisual Hollywood HDMI cables as really good value for money cables. So I ordered one from Amazon (£26.98 inc Postage), I received it after only 2 or 3 days from AVOPRO and it virtually worked straight out of the box, I only had to read my TV's manual, make a couple of adjustments and that was that. I can really see a difference in the picture quality especially when viewing movies and I'm best pleased I didn't spend almost £100 on one, I really doubt whether most people would notice a difference anyway.

HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD
So glad I stumbled across this little beauty because it is, without doubt, a 24 carat exception to the rule that says you only get what you pay for.

The 1.5m FISUAL HOLLYWOOD HDMI CABLE is a stunning bargain and a highly capable performer. Connect it to a PS3 and a decent 1080p LCD TV (a Samsung LE40F86 in my case, see review) and you will be amazed at the picture quality it generates - the BLU-RAY version of CASINO ROYALE just blew me away with the level of detail on display. The same applies to gameplay mode - RESISTANCE: FALL OF MAN had an almost 3D feel to it.

Right up there with much more expensive HDMI performers - my QED Qunex, for example - let me now nail any suspicions about cost being a compromising issue here; it isn't. A no-brainer, on the other hand, it most certainly is - that's why you should get hold of one of these picture perfect marvels as soon as possible.

Absolutely Excellent Cable
First review I've ever given on Amazon. Also my first purchase of a HDMI cable and with the plethora of cables on offer, some at ridiculous prices (but with no guarantee of reliability) was a bit apprehensive. I needn't have worried. This cable has a real sturdy, quality, feel to it. Has been completely realiable carrying a 1080p image from our PS3 to our new 40" 1080p LCD TV.

I will inevitably need more HDMI cables in the future and, at the risk of sounding like a fictional customer, will save myself the hassle and worry and just go back to Fisual Hollywood. Fast delivery too - just before Christmas.
