Editorial Reviews
Album Description
The fourth in the very successful NME Essential Bands series of albums features MASSIVE EXCLUSIVES from Oasis - "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" and Keane "The Night Sky". Both tracks are not available on any other album.
Once again, the album combines the unique and famous NME brand with the very best of 2007's commercial indie hits and up & coming bands. Reflecting a change in this market over 2007 the album includes the likes of Kate Nash and Amy Winehouse, alongside more familiar offerings from The Killers, Hard-Fi, Kaiser Chiefs, Babyshambles, Klaxons and The Enemy.

Essential Bands?
What a predicatable load of tosh from the NME.
Oasis were an essential band five years ago; Keane have never been an essential band.
This compilation largely features tracks that are freely available elsewhere, but would make an ideal Christmas present for an uncle who yearns to be trendy but misses the point entirely.
If it wasn't for the inclusion of the excellent Battles track, this would rate zero.
Avoid at all costs.
