Brilliant !!5
originally bought this game for myself but once i got it home the husband took over and i didnt see my ds for a wk until he had completed it. he was totally hooked and really enjoyed the game.one tip is to properly read how to use the tools for collection and detection and check everywhere for clues especially as the cases move on through the game. bit tricky in areas so i did help him out with a little help from a cheat site online which were very helpful......overall a very enjoyable game!!

CSI: Dark Motives - great game5
I truly enjoyed playing with this game. I think it's great. I like the fact that there are 5 different cases to resolve, it really does keep you entertain and save you to get bored with it. I just finished it and I can't wait for a new release.

Massive dissapointment3
This really is a shame; the PC outings of the CSI games were great - they were all fun, engrossing and challenging.

However the DS outing is seriously flawed, The lack of voices aside (one of the more charming aspects of the PC games has been lost here) the use of the stylus is appauling

The game itself, (which is exactly the same as the PC version in case you were wondering) is great, its slick, clever and could be swiped straight from the show in terms of plot: its just the stylus does not translate well to this game at all and will leave you relieved when youve completed a case, rather than satisfied.

Ive rated this 1 for fun, but 3 over all, because the game itself is great and deserves a 4 or 5. The stylus however takes all the fun out of it, so unfortunately it, for me, pulls down the over-all rating

I assumed, with it going to a touch screen, that they would have done something with the game so that the stylus would be easy and intuitive to use, but I was wrong.
Its fiddly, you constantly catch the "back" option on screens when trying to tap on a hotspot, you miss clues and evidence for ages because the tap control is so clumsy and "vague" but at the same time the clue hotspots are so precise, and in the end you end up just going from screen to scren and "swiping" your stylus across left to right until something turns into a green arrow. Then you click on it, miss it, and get taken back to the screen before it - honestly its SO FRUSTRATING!!!

In short - if youve got a PC too, and want to play this game - buy it on PC format, because the game is excellent, it just doesnt go well on DS.
If you've played it on PC and are expecting it to be as good on the DS - youre going to be sorely dissapointed. The game is, but the stylus ruins it.
If you havent played it at all, and dont have a PC or its not compatible with the game, by all means try it on DS because, to be fair, the game is very clever - just be prepared to be irritated by the controls at times. Actually a lot!
