EXCELLENT BUDGET ONE BOX HOME CINEMA SYSTEM
Incredible value at this price.Mine plays all types of discs perfectly.
The subwoofer and 5 speakers are as shown in the Amazon photo not as in the photo supplied by Mr.Duffy.

Eltax Spirit - 5.1 Home Cinema System With DVD Receiver
Not to be recommended, bought one didn't work. Got replacement very quickly via Amazon but unfortunatly had the same problem as the first one, can't read any media (CD or DVD).

Poor all round
At £30 this is a cheap surround sound unit - and while it works, it performs like a cheap unit. The only time you'll actually notice that you're listening to surround sound is when there's a helicopter on screen, so unless you're a big Stringfellow Hawk fan there is little point in this set up.

As for the breaking down, my unit lasted four or five weeks. Normally I'd simply accept that individual units are sometimes faulty, but in this case I'd urge anyone to take heed of the number of customer reviews that mention this thing breaking.

Beyond that, the navigation is poor to average, the equaliser is poor, the instructions are almost worthless and the speaker wire included is such low grade that the connections on the back of the unit can't even grip it.

It is neat though.
