DVD Description
A former vampire, Angel was motivated by guilt, as well as a relationship with Buffy, to join her on the side of good. Now he heads up a team of sundry vampire hunters, who battle, among other enemies, the law firm Wolfram and Hart, which serves as a front for vampires. Angel's spiritual advisor, Doyle, who is part-human and part-demon, guides him as he navigates the dangerous, glamorous world of LA, which is, unknown to most of its residents, a constant battleground between the forces of good and evil. Meanwhile, Angel must constantly face his own dark side, which forever tempts him back to the vampire's life. Contains series 1 to 5 of Angel.

Season 1: The vampire Angelus, now known as Angel, has a human soul, but committed terrible crimes in the past. Seeking forgiveness and trying to redeem himself, he moves from Sunnydale (and a relationship with Buffy Summers, of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) to Los Angeles, where he helps the downtrodden by thwarting the supernatural creatures that prey on them.

Season 2: Angel continues to seek redemption, but a fatal mistake makes him realize that racking up the body count isn’t the way to go. So with a renewed sense of purpose and Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn at his side, Angel sets out to make the streets of Los Angeles a little safer for everyone – unaware that Wolfram & Hart has summoned someone from his past to make sure he fails.

Season 3: Even as Angel mourns the death of Buffy, Darla makes her way to L.A. with a mysterious new life growing within her. Now thrust into a role he never imagined, Angel needs the assistance of the Angel Investigations team more than ever. But while Cordelia, Gunn and Fred rally round the new dad, an ancient and deadly prophecy convinces Wesley to commit the ultimate betrayal.

Season 4: With both Angel and Cordelia still missing, Fred, Gunn and Connor try to keep Angel Investigations running while they search for their friends. Ironically, the man who everyone believes betrayed Angel is the one who finally comes to Angel’s rescue. Then Cordelia mysteriously reappears with no memory of her life or her friends. Confused, she chooses to take refuge with Connor—setting into motion events that will alter their lives forever.

Season 5: The Angel Investigations team is stunned when the Senior Partners of Wolfram and Hart give them control of the L.A. office. The gang quickly moves in, and although everyone is delighted at the amazing resources they now have at their command, they can’t stop wondering what the catch is. But the biggest mystery of all revolves around a small package Angel receives containing an amulet and a handful of dust—which coalesces into a very-much-alive Spike.

The second best series ever to run, and the spin-off from the first5
If you're a Buffy fan, I don't even know why I have to bother explaining why you should buy this - you should be clicking the "Buy" button as we speak.

This is the second best series ever to run (after Buffy itself of course). Season 5 takes place after the ending of Buffy after season 7, so you get something of an insight into what happened afterwards, and a familiar face crops up you thought was gone forever. As for seasons 1-4, they run alongside Buffy seasons 4+, after Angel's tear-soaked departure, even with the occasional guest-spot from Buffy characters.

This box set is a must-have. Better than most things on TV nowadays and you won't get sick of watching it. what're you waiting for: BUY IT!

The complete TV series, but there is now an official season 65
Angel was the best series on television, and I felt such regret when it ended. If you're reading this, chances are that you probably feel the same. However, because it was never the fans who deserted Angel, Joss Whedon himself personally supervised an official (and canonical) Season 6 in full colour graphic novel format. It's called Angel: After The Fall and it continues the story as it would have been had Angel continued. The drawn likenesses are spot on and all the action, plot and humour of the TV series has been captured perfectly. As someone who never buys comic books, I bought the first volume Angel: After The Fall: After the Fall: After the Fall v. 1 (Angel (IDW Publishing)) hesitantly, but it's fantastic, it really is, and if you want to find out what happened after that fight in the alleyway - the official story as told by Joss Whedon - then you must buy this. Find out what happens to Angel, Gunn, Spike, Illyria/Fred, Wesley, Lorne and also Gwen, Nina and Connor. Hope you don't mind that this isn't a review of the box set as such - which I have and is well worth the asking price - but I hope you've found it helpful.

I never really liked Angel.........5
I watched Buffy until it ended and I had no idea Angel had done his own series. I bought it but thought it couldn't hold a candle to Buffy. But it does! I have both box sets and weird as it sounds if you watch all of Angel first then watch all of Buffy it makes more sense. The reason being is in Buffy you only see a few bits of what Angel was like before. Of course with his own series you then see more of his past life. So when you then watch Buffy you understand him more. Especially the little wife swop thing him, Spike, Dru and Darla have. Of course Darla getting pregnant makes no sense whatsoever even after we find out why but apart from that its a very good show. I will say though watch Cordy. She is so shallow in Buffy but in Angel she really grows up. Its just a shame they never get together and the series got cancelled. Still waiting on the possible "Watcher" Series.
