Customer Reviews

not a classic summerslam 3
Summerslam 2007 was famed for the return after injury of two key men and they were triple H and rey mysterio so the event had hype there and then but plenty more would be aimed at the event and some of it stuck and some didnt.
The event opened with kane vs finlay and those predicting a brawl were proved to be fortune tellers as this was just that, the crowd didnt make much noise at first so the signs were bad but warmed a bit later in this match, average at best, and not the best way to open an event like summerslam.
The intercontiental championship was up for grabs next in a triple threat match, the champ umaga going up against carlito and mr kennedy, this was a good match even though the crowd didnt have alot to cheer for being that all three men were heels but this was good and the crowd could tell that so they showed their support in the end, pleasing.
Next up was the return of rey,who was covered in grey paint which made him look like a lemon in truth,he went up against chavo in an extremely good match, full of pace and a believable hatred for one another, this was a show stealer in many ways, welcome back rey rey then.
The wwe diva battle was terrible, crowd used this time to get their popcorn, send their texts and comb their hair, terrible, although the winner and i get on well.
A beer drinking contest between MVP and matt hardy was interesting enough especially when hardy broght in a contestant to take his place, the place went wild and this wasnt time wasting at all, this is how segments in pay per views should be done.
The ECW championship was up next, the champ john morrison against cm punk,a good match, good rivals who know each other inside out,no harm in this match.
The return of triple H featured next as he went up against king booker in a shortlived match that wasnt that exciting, the ending was predictable but it was good to see triple return after a long break away.
The world heavyweight title was up for grabs next as the champ khali went up against batista in a lazy enough match that wasnt good at all really and the ending was shoddy and was there to make sure this feud went on,nope,a poor match, you can say no different.
The main event was next and was for the WWE title, the champ john cena pitted against randy orton, this was an epic match where both men had the edge then lost it,then won it,then lost it,but in all of that there was plenty of quality and made for a worthy closer to a mixed enough event, seems alot of people favour the three star review so i shall do the same.

Better than expected..............(May contain spoilers).............................4
The accent was on the return of Rey Mysterio and Triple H. Was it my imagination or has 619 put on weight? His match with Chavo Guerrero was rather disappointing as they are both excellent exponents in the square ring.
Khali vs Batista was about what one would expect as neither are ring generals.
John Morrison vs CM Punk could have been much better.
Umaga vs Carlito vs Mr Kennedy was not bad at all.
Kane vs Finlay was surprisingly good.
The Divas Battle Royal - I am convinced that this is just a space filler to give the sudience time to stock up with popcorn. It was a forgone conclusion that the winner would be either A or B.
King Booker vs HHH. Well of course HHH was the favourite, but Booker is a wonderful wrestler and can put on an outstanding show. however the match was short and I did not think HHH got the noisy entrance I was expecting. Perhaps knowing that he is McMahon's son-in-law is a put off for some of the fans.
Cena vs Orton - This was a good match, and I am a fan of neither of them, nevertheless they put on a great display by Cena standards.
The gaps between the matches, (and also in the extras) are largely concerned with the identity of McMahon's illegitimate son. I felt they went a little over the top considering that many of the fans are children.
However all in all. I enjoyed this DVD and it was great to see HHH looking so good and hopefully recovered.

Very Forgettable Show2
This event was promoted around the returns of HHH and Rey Mysterio. Both their return matches were letdowns. HHH vs King Booker was way too short and very un-competitive while Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero was too mat-based when these two could have had an exciting, fast paced, high flying bout. Mysterio also looked ridiculous with all that silver paint on.The World title match between the "Great" Khali and Batista was one of the worst matches I have ever seen. There was a dissapointing ECW title match between John Morrison and CM Punk, and a women's battle royal you'll probably only ever watch once. Although as much as I hate to admit it John Cena had a good main event with Randy Orton.
