Customer Reviews

Good dance moves but not a great workout3
The dvd has a warm up, 5 dance sections and a cool down. All the dances are good but as the dvd shows the moves in half time first you do not work up much of a sweat. You do get a chance to do each dance through 3 times in a row at the end of each section so if you get bored once you know the routines you could just do the warmup finale sections, bonus sections and cool down but this would then be a short workout.

It's a good dvd to get if you are just starting out or if you like dance workouts that are not too physically straining. It is still a moderate workout.

There are 3 bonus sections which are under 5 mins each:
Legs
Abs and arms
Bums

These are quite basic moves but definitely do the job and are a good bonus to the dance moves.

If you are looking for a hard cardio workout then this is not the dvd for you. However if you enjoy learning dances and want an easy workout that still has challenging interesting moves then it is woth buying. Including the bonus workouts it's runs an hour and 15mins.

Great Dance Workout5
I bought Dance Xtreme after a friend recommended it to me. I watched the Dance X television series and voted for Bruno Tonioli's team to win as I thought they were excellent dancers. I was very pleased to hear they had released a DVD and wasn't disappointed when I tried it for myself. The routines are fun which makes exercising a lot easier and my daughter and her friends have even started to use it as well. They love learning the dance routines and I've enjoyed losing weight so quickly after Christmas. I must say that the choreographer Jackie Diss is excellent. The moves are easy to learn and there is a good body conditioning section to.

Tried and Tested2
I did this at my friend's house and I must say that if I could pretty much do the routines by the time it got up to full speed, then it wasnt too difficult.
With the exception of Marie, who rocks, the others are irritating. The choreography is good, but buy this dvd as an introduction to dance not as a workout.

If you want a dancing WORKOUT, choose the Strictly Dancersize DVD, that will kill you the first time you do it but will take a few goes to get the hang of. (it also has selective viewing options with individual workouts, without instructional etc)
