Absolutely Fantastic
Most have the other reviews have pretty much said all there is to say. But I just wanted to re-iterate how good this game is, the story and the characters are excellent, and the plot takes on some interesting twists. Everytrhing in the game feels right, including the fantastic orchestral score that plays throughout. In short, if you own a ps3, you must own this game!
Enjoyed to the very end
I have just completed it, i've had it 10 days but i'm not a hardcore gamer so few hours here and there.
Pros:
-Story line
-Visual Treat with great cut scenes
-Characters
-Controls
-Pace (doesn't drag on it has 22 chapters)
-Weapons (a couple i really liked)
-Ammo (always running out and having to make a dash in risky situations)
-Exploring (jumps, hanging, zip wires, jeeps, jet ski)
-AI - i found this quite good to be fair, the boys with the laser sights are cool - towards the end is hard - i won't spoil it but those who have played it know what i mean.
Cons:
-Not one difficult puzzle (really annoyed at this but its not supposed to be tomb raider I guess - Tomb Raider much harder (but not as good),the opportunity to really mess with yr head has been missed. Even 2-3 really tough ones would have helped.
-Weapons (yr spoon fed what you need for task ahead)
-Linear - I know they all are really but you can feel it on this - didn't spoil my fun though, it's getting harder for developers when other games give you more freedom. You almost feel this is going backwards, now i'm being critical as i really enjoyed it :-)
-Exploring, i know i have this in my Pros but many times in the game you find a tomb or a secret passage and just around the corner you'll find an army of people waiting(not so secret then)- a little laughable when you consider your diary has the secrets to unlocking these places. How did the 'baddies' get there :-)
If yr looking for Tomb Raider this isn't it, if you want many things to kill with an array of weapons get yrself down the shops. I'd purchase Drakes Fortune 2 based on what i have just completed?
4 stars is very worthy and it would be too easy to give it 5 stars, my cons are why......enjoyed it to the very end.
What a game
Best game on the PS3. People may say its just another Tomb Raider without Ms Croft, but their wrong. I'd say it was better. The graphics are superb, the gameplay is great and the story line is brillant.
The 1st game you sholud buy when you purchase a PS3
