Amazon.co.uk Review
What better way to commemorate Star Wars' 30th anniversary than with this double-length Very Special Episode, a full-scale, awesomely animated spoof that recasts George Lucas's saga with Family Guy's galaxy of characters: Chris (Seth Green) is Luke; Lois (Alex Borstein) is Princess Leia; Peter (Seth McFarlane) is Han Solo, but not, as expected, Jabba the Hut; Brian (Seth, again) is Chewbacca; Quagmire (and again, Seth) is C3PO; Cleveland is R2D2; Herbert, the creepy senior paedophile, is Obi-Wan (both voiced by Mike Henry); and, of course, Stewie (Seth, one more time) is Darth Vader ("My diapers have gone over to the dark side"). Poor Meg is reduced to a cameo as the hideous reptilian creature that haunts the garbage compactor.
DVD Description
The laughs come full "Force" when the Griffin clan puts a freakin’ sweet spin on the greatest sci-fi saga ever told. With Peter playing the swashbuckling Han Solo, Lois as the sexy Princess Leia, Chris as an adolescent Luke Skywalker, Brian as a well-spoken Chewbacca and Stewie finally embracing his dark side as Darth Vader, who knows what will happen? Filled with outrageous gags, spaced-out droids and more intergalactic satire than you can shake a lightsabre at, this epic spoof of Star Wars: A New Hope is a must-own for every fan of Family Guy.
Synopsis
The Force is strong with this double-length episode of FAMILY GUY that devotes itself to STAR WARS EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE. Seth McFarlane's spoof-happy animated sitcom casts the Griffin family and other Quahog residents as characters from George Lucas' sci-fi classic: patriarch Peter is Han Solo, wife Lois is Princess Leia, son Chris is Luke Skywalker, family dog Brian is Chewbacca, and baby Stewie continues his quest to kill Lois as the evil Darth Vader. From Mos Eisley to the Millennium Falcon, no element of Lucas's beloved universe is safe from McFarlane's hilarious satire.

Great but more Star Wars than Family Guy and so short
and I was surprised it was so short, being 45 minutes and only Episode 4. I had for some reason thought it was 75 minutes and the first three films. Also don't expect the anarchy and comedy of regular Family Guy episodes, I would say it is more a homage to Star Wars with Family Guy overlaid.
The storyline, script and even some shots closely if not exactly follow the film and this is where I enjoyed it as they are so well done. I didn't really laugh like I do with regular FG, but it is a different product and should be viewed as such.
I am guessing that they will eventually do the other films depending on the success of this and whilst I would say it is worth the cost of a rental I really can't say it is worth purchasing at only 45 minutes for the disc itself.
So for Star Wars fans - a must see, FG fans - not so sure, they will probably be disappointed as with other reviewers, anyone else - I think it would be lost on them.
spat in the face
after stewie griffon the untold story i was mildly offended by the family guy producers. it wasnt a a film of any description just 3 episodes played back to back and as a massive family guy fan that simply wasnt good enough. this was a new low; £14 for a 45 minute episode with jokes that fell short of the series anyway was and absolute insult. both futurama and the simpsons managed to pull off a passable feature length and the lazy approach seen here i think shows how little the producers regard the fans.
dont buy this at all!!! its not even very entertaining. besides it will probably just be on BBC 3 some time soon.
Ignore those few idiots
People that rated this to be 1 star are complete idiots, do not listen to those fools, they have either never seen Star Wars, or prefe South Park, (Because apparently South Park is full of mature, deep, humour?)
This spoof is absolutely brilliant and comes with plenty of laughs (once again, they are mainly star wars jokes, so if you haven't seen Episode 4, you better!)
My favourite has to be when Cleveland-D2 gets shot and he shouts "WHAT AM I? ARTOO-PAC?"
A very clever, very funny, very well written spoof of a Cult Classic.
Family Guy does it again.
10/10
