Great game...if given time5
Simple...if you are a "pick up from the shelf and master the game straight away" gamer...don't buy this! You'll become easily frustrated and end up kicking the cat over into next door's garden!

However, for the more laid back gamer, who slowly tries to get to grips with a game, it is a brilliant game. I bought it for my girlfriend and was a bit wary with all the reviews it had been given. At first, my worries became true but after a week of trying to learn just how to let go of the darn dart we finally made it. Now we are reaping the rewards with some very dramatic and amusing games. There is nothing like the feeling of your first 180, giving you such a buzz you feel like pulling your shirt over your head and running round the room (ok, maybe that's just me being sad). It becomes highly addictive and the graphics are amazing for a "wii" console. I'm not that great a darts fan either but thoroughly enjoy the game.

Think the Hare and the Tortoise. With this game, the Tortoise will always win.

Not Brilliant, Hard Too Use2
This dart game is really not the best as the wii remote is sooo hard too use, I mean you can't throw the wii remote! Don't mean to spoil the game but I recommend you don't buy it.

it's really pretty good4
lots of negative reviews of this one, so i thought i'd throw in (pun intended) my thoughts. i love watching darts and i'd had my eye on the game since i saw it come out, but i waited for a better price given the poor reviews. at £13 or so on amazon, it didn't seem like a big risk if i didn't like it.

i started off trying to play the game with the dart throwing motion using the wiimote. after an hour or two i was struggling to keep my cool. the odds on the dart being released with the A button were about 1 in 2 or 3 attempts. when it did release it was impossible to judge the power or direction. i tried again with similar results. so rather than write a bad review i picked up the instruction manual and found there was an alternate control mechanism. so i plugged my nunchuk into my wiimote. i pointed with the wiimote and used the nunchuk to throw the dart. and in the treble. sweet.

once you suss out the control mech the gameplay is awesome and frighteningly addictive, just like the real thing. i am a little disappointed that it's turned out to be a good darts game rather than a simulation of real darts, but as i'd hoped, for £13 it's well worth it.
