Manufacturer's Description
Shivering Isles features more than 30 hours of new game play and allows you to explore an entirely new plane of Oblivion - the realm of Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness. Shivering Isles adds to the existing world of Oblivion so you can continue playing with your existing save game/character, or create an all new character just to explore the new content.

WHAT A CON!!!
it would make sence for bethsda to release a 360 disk version of shivering isles for the good folk that dont have xbox live. and they did
problem was they didnt tell u that it required xbox live to download a special download only patch to play the dam thing. cant even begin to explain how jooped i feel im sure there breaking some kind of law its unbelivable almost like they made a sly deal with microsoft lol bunch of jokers
Exellent game, but not as much content
This is a fantastic game which adds alot more content on to a already amazing game. But it doesent have half the content than the origional game. Agaist some games it could be a game in itself and with the knights of the nine bundled in with this game it is very fun to play. At the moment I have spent 90 hours on all three games but I still know that I have at least 40 more hours of gameplay to go. An exellent buy.
Just Wait
I loved this expansion - it's a little dark and quite weird but I enjoyed completing it. I won't however re-play when I make new characters as I found it got really annoying if I did the new quests again. Strange really as Oblivion is one of the few games I can re-play over and over.
Just to get something clear you have to either play the game for 24 hours, (in game time), or "wait" for 24 hours before the new content will be there - same as if you downloaded it from Xbox Live. I expect this is why many people have had problems with the game and believe that it doesn't work.
Installing only takes a couple of minutes and you can carry on playing with your current charaters.
The new ingriedients, weapons, armour, quests, characters etc are all amazing - I just wish there were some new playable races - that would be cool.
