Customer Reviews
a promising yet awful piece of gaming
Upon being given this game as a birthday present, I was enthusiastic about the endless possibilities it could offer to a friendless individual that has played numerous strategy games and has become, one might say, a strategy game enthusiast.
But here's the reality check guys! With tedious camera angles and lethargic game play, the game "Prison Tycoon 3 - LOCKDOWN" came in well below my high expectations. The game proved a trial for even an experienced strategist. The initial levels of the game introduce the gamer to the world of prisons with relative ease, however the game soon becomes a challenge due to its unrealistic portrayal of both prisoners and prison officers. As soon as the keen gamer has implemented some changes to his prison, there is a lengthy period of waiting for the changes to allow the strategist to progress to the next stage of the level or gameplay.
All in all, Prison Tycoon is a game that has the possibilities to offer a unique gaming experience and is founded in an exciting principle, however fails to draw in the gamer and the game does not offer the 'addictive' gameplay that a keen strategist might expect. Friendless individuals, such as myself, are easily able to find better strategy games on the market, that are well worth investing in, such as "Civilization 3", by giving Prison Tycoon a miss in the process.
Keep strategizing!
