oooh i was so looking forward to this....and the old style game is great as ever but the adventure part is merely ok. just makes me yearn for the epic bomberman on the saturn. the minigames are pretty uninspiring and some cut scene parts are tedious and you can't skip them easily!! Worth it for the old style games - and this is far superior to the hideous thing that came out on the xbox 360 a while ago!!

Having read the other reviews, and criticisms offered, I have to agree with what has been said. The story mode is clumsy and cut scenes are irritating being slow and unskippable.

However I bought the game on the basis of the classic SNES version some 15-20 years ago, on which my friends and I spent many hours blasting each other. The Wii version delivers all the action of the traditional game with extra modes thrown in. An exceptional multi-player game.

The story mode adds in many new mini games - none of which are particularly inspiring, but can be good fun in small quantities... and are ideal for my young daughter (4). Earning TPs and spending them in the shop has her enthralled - and she likes the story development as well.

Here lies the basis of the game. Aimed at the young generation, but with the retro classic to keep us older gamers happy in our nostalgic memories.

When i was younger my brother had this game for the sega mega drive and all my family loved it they used to come round to our house just to play it and we wer all addicted to it, so when i seen you could get it for the wii i was exstatic. then i recieved it. the story mode take ages to even get to because you can't skip through the talking at the start and then when you get into it its hard to complete the minigames. the battle mode is good but still wouldnt rate it very high. definately not as good as it was on the sega.
