Manufacturer's Description

Set in the near future, the Battlefield: Bad Company single-player campaign drops gamers into a dramatic Eurasian conflict. As part of a squad of four soldiers, players risk it all to go AWOL on a personal quest, fighting their own war within the war. Featuring a dramatic storyline flavored with attitude, Battlefield: Bad Company leads gamers far from the traditional frontlines on a wild ride with a group of renegade soldiers who decide that sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn't enough.

The Battlefield: Bad Company cinematic single-player experience captures the freedom and intensity of the franchise's legendary multiplayer sandbox game play in a dynamic world where nearly everything is destructible. Gamers have total freedom to be daring and innovative, adapting to and tackling challenges in unexpected "Battlefield-style" ways. Create sniping positions by blowing out a piece of a wall or drive your tank straight through a small house. The ever-changing battlefield forces players, their teammates and enemies to react accordingly.

The game also features a full suite of the franchise's trademark multiplayer game play, supporting 24 players online.

Battlefield: Bad Company is the first game built from the ground up for next-generation consoles using DICE's bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, delivering unrivaled graphics, effects and game play.

Customer Reviews

mostly a good game4
i really liked this game, great with a rumble pad but it's not up there with the call of duty 4's and half life 2's of this world.
it's great to blow stuff up but not all stuff blows up which is a bit odd.the guys that you fight with in the story mode are really thick and dont help you at all but i suppose that is the way they made it so you do the work yourself,it just detracts from the realism for me.
the story mode is good i would give it 7/10 as it's a bit basic and short.
online is great and feels like war would so i give that 9/10.
the graphics are good underneath that fuzzy filter!! why oh why did they put that grainy effect over the graphics,i wish there was an option to get rid of it,it's a crying shame it really is.
i recommend this game preowned but i wouldn't pay full price for it as it's good but not that good.

its just not worth it1
well i dont koow what to say being a fan of fps i was dissapointed it just was unrealistic and not much fun it was also very short its probably better to buy cod 4 or metle gear 4. i mean even haze beats this. IF U R COSIDERING BUYING THIS FOR A PRESENT DONT IT WILL NOT BE ENJOYED

CONQUEST MAKES IT WORTHWHILE4
Initially I was a little dissapointed with Bad Company... after playing Battlefield over the years on the PC I was hoping for more of the same...but the Gold Rush mode just didn't do it for me. I thought it was way too streamlined to be of the Battlefield genre - too much intense, linear game play that didn't really give you much choice for strategy or squad play.

However, now the classic Conquest mode has landed on the scene my opinion has changed and my hours gaming has increased. This is what Battlefield has always been about - freedom to do what you want to do - not to be told whether you must attack or defend! And the whole destructive environment adds a whole new exciting dimension to the gameplay.

Squad play has improved but not massively - you don't get to choose your squad and there is no communication, be it voice or message comms. There's still big room for improvement but hopefully these points will be addressed in further updates/releases.

With dedicated no lag servers, thousands of players online and more maps on the way, the future is looking bright for Battlefield on the PS3!
