Fantastic Phone! Well worth the money!
Sure the iPhone has lots of sales pitch, and the UI has some nice features, but like a BMW, you are paying for the badge, and because it's 'cool' to own one.
To overlook this phone would be a shame, because it's excellent! It's worth buying for the qwerty keyboard alone! SMS is no longer a pain in the ass! The sliding action to reveal the keyboard, comparable to the Nokia N95, is much better, and it feels so much more solidly built. I have a N95 and compared to this phone it feels delicate.
You can tell Samsung have spent a long time designing this phone. It feels solid, the display is beautiful (crisp and bright image), the User Interface is intuitive and it looks the part!
Some downsides, but they're only minor. The SD-card slot is in a stupid place. You have to take the back panel off to insert the card.
There's no GPS either, although my experience with GPS on phones so far has been very lack-lustre.
Anyway, all-in-all, this is a great phone and worth buying for the extremely useful qwerty keyboard alone.
Don't go for the iPhone and join the rest of the 'cool' people, and pay a premium for the hype. This phone is top notch, and well worth the money!
Amzing
Simply amazing phone, rivals the i-phone and betters it in many areas.
Cool design and touch screen is resposive and stylish
Keyboard is a magic touch and the phone still maintains its slim look and feel !!
highly recommend.
Samsung F700 Mobile with Qwerty Keyboard
I used to use the old Nokia 6822 because I loved having a full qwerty keyboard to text. I have been waiting a long time for an updated version and was delighted when I found this one was going to be launched.
It is very pretty, but not as colourful as the iPhone.
It does have bluetooth, so I can connect to my car's handsfree system and can transfer photos, etc. with friends.
The music player is very good - music is clear and with expandable memory, it can hold a lot of songs.
It has video, but I haven't really played with this ~ I believe you can upload straight to YouTube.
BUT what it fails on is everything seems to be so long-winded. For instance to send a text you need to click on envelope, then add contact icon, then location of contact, then scroll through or open keyboard to type in name, then click on name, click on OK, then type message and finally send. Making a phone call is equally long winded if you do not have it set up as a speed-dial.
