Manufacturer's Description
MX vs ATV: Untamed kicks it up a notch and shifts into high gear as the best selling off-road franchise returns. Rainbow Studios has evolved their legendary Rhythm Racing engine to include throttle based power slides, near upside down whips and new scrubs. Compete in the first ever "X-Cross" tournament, which brings 8 unique racing series and crosses them into one ultimate off-road championship. X-Cross demands players master a variety of powerful vehicles through treacherous trails in the new Open-cross mode, while then shifting gears to navigate boulders, logs, and water pits in Endurocross, and then conquer 6 other championship modes. Players can take control of the new ORV Sport and other vehicles, including Monster and Trophy Trucks, as they blaze through massive environments to determine which vehicle owns the off-road.

Great game4
I wanted a racer for the Wii and at the time of writing there arent too many good options, need for speed pro street good but boring, speed racer isnt too bad so I decided to give this game a go.

I must say overall its very playable and a game I would endorse. There are only minor issues graphically with slight clipping and images distorting at the starting grid occassionally but the pace of the game is superb and the atv's and bikes zoom around giving a great sense of speed to this game and I would say the graphics are at least with a PS2 on this game with upto 8 riders racing at any one given time.

The soundtack can be ammended via the options but it primarily rock based with nickleback and USA bands making the line up so if rock isnt your cup of tea turn the music off.

There are many, many modes of play on this game and lots of bikes, atv's to drive and hurtle around the varying tracks at breakneck speed one course is like the grand canyon and its a bit like motorstorm on the PS3 theres some nice touches graphically particularly when you zoom down an embankment and the mud flies towards the camera. Lots of scenarios to choose including hillclimb's and ski ramp jumping !!! there are also 1 on 1 rider challenges

So in summary a good game for petrolheads, some concerns have been raised about the controls i didnt have any issues myself the nunchuck controls the direction, a is accelerate and if you flick the remote up in the air prior to jumps you gain further distance and then can press c,z button on nunchunk to perform stunts, the b button on the remote is the clutch and is handy for obtaining a quick start out of the gate.
