Customer Reviews
Incorrect product listing, poor game quality
I'm a big fan of crosswords so I added this game to my list as soon as I saw it was being released. I wish I hadn't bothered, it was disappointing at best.
The game is advertised as having over 2700 puzzles in 5 languages - that means 555 per language, not 2700 in each (don't fall for that wording trick like I did!) Even with 555 puzzles, there's not much to distinguish each one from the other. The same set of clues are used in each puzzle which means when you've done a couple, you've done them all.
As if dodgy clues and advertising "lies" weren't enough, the game itself doesn't actually work properly! I selected Medium difficulty puzzles at random, only to end up on Easy boards. Every time I selected screen-based keyboard input instead of handwriting it forgot my preference, and if you exit a puzzle and go back in it loses your words, despite being advertised as saving them (if you continue the same puzzle).
I'll be trading this one in at my local console game shop.
What a disappointment
I ordered this game in February and have waited eagerly for the twice (at least!) revised release date. I shouldn't have bothered. I totally agree with the other review. If you are into Olympic statistics and know who got medals (not just gold) in various sports in the last forty years, or Nobel prizes for over seventy years, then maybe this is the game for you. If you think that 'shedog' is a good six letter answer for the clue 'domestic animal' then once again this is the game for you. I don't and definitely regret spending my hard earned money on it!
waste of money
very dissapointed with this game, clues do not make sense and unless you know a lot about names of rivers, asian countries and postal codes for countries then you wont get very far. there is an option of giving you the answer which prevents me throwing the game across the room!
