Product Description

The UKs first fully comprehensive Pregnancy Yoga Programme, this dvd offers over 190 minutes of yoga practices to help prepare the pregnant woman physically and psychologically guiding her through her entire pregnancy, labour and the birth of her baby. It has been endorsed by both Dr Gowri Motha and Dr Amber Kennard (Brompton Cross Clinic) and Yoga Magazine will be featuring an article on Tara Lee with a review of the DVD. Tara Lee is one of the countrys most celebrated pregnancy yoga teachers, currently working at Londons top yoga centres Life Centre and Triyoga. Tara is a mother of two and continually receives praise and gratitude from the many mothers- to- be who attend her classes, expressed in the testimonials contained in the DVDs 8 page booklet. Pregnancy Health Yoga with Tara Lee is an holistic approach to pregnancy. Pregnancy is a time which is both magical and unpredictable and the comprehensive menu on the DVD reflects this allowing the pregnant woman to choose which practice or exercise would best suit her. The full practice offers a safe and energising practice which will strengthen and tone the body while building stamina for labour and birth. The restorative practice is a more gentle and relaxing section of yoga. The breathing / pranayama, relaxation, preparation for labour and birth, partner work and pregnancy related ailments options on the DVD all offer valuable tools and techniques. Practices are accompanied by clear instruction from Tara with a background of gentle ambient music by Wah!

Customer Reviews

Converted Yoga Sceptic5
Absolutely brilliant. I'm new to yoga (and pregnancy), and was previously a yoga-sceptic, but i am delighted with this DVD and have been pleasantly surprised. Tara is a great teacher, and the exercises get you feeling strong, supple and distinctly non blimp-like (a hazard of pregnancy). I'm hoping this continues to be a great help during the coming months and through labour.

Great DVD5
I used this DVD throughout my pregnancy. Tara's a great teacher. Top Tip: try the relaxation section when in labour, I did and actually chilled out enough to 'skip' some contractions. I was also back in pre-pregnancy jeans within 5 weeks. It took 5 months first time round with no DVD!

A great challenge5
As someone who has been going to yoga classes for a year or so before I fell pregnant, I was looking for a DVD of yoga that was suitable for pregnancy, rather than one to prepare me for the birth. This has been my favourite DVD so far (the Buddhabellies being a fairly close second) as the full practise is a good challenge, but has lots of suggestions for modifications and easier options for those who are less experienced or in later stages of labour. There's also lots of added extras for relaxations, preparation for labour and work with a partner - meaning that the focus of the main practise is the yoga rather than pregnancy and labour (although they are mentioned) which are focused on separately.
