Customer Reviews

an average year...2
I have to remind myself that the Brits cd often reflects how the music industry has progressed over the past 12 months. This year it does feel that we are not getting anywhere fast. It is good to see Take That's comeback being rewarded and such a variety of artists such as Newton Faulkner, Mark Ronson and Girls Aloud being included on this compilation. With so many people now downloading individual tracks instead of albums and now being encouraged to look into other artist's past hits for inspiration for their own playlists it is understandable that some compilations do appear tired and out of date even before hitting the shelves.

Is it worth buying - yes but with the reservation that we all hope the awards show will have more bite than this cd. We can only hope that Brits 2009 has a more inventive feel to it.
