Drive Genius was originally introduced in at Macworld San Francisco in 2005, and since that time it has become one of the top selling utilities at the Apple Store. It has been reviewed and evaluated by all the major Mac publications and has received glowing reviews and awards.(It was named "Labs Winner" as the best tool in its class by MacUser - UK magazine 2 years in a row. Drive Genius II really is a genius.
This software is not cheap but you get what you pay for. Not only does it do all the tasks it says on the box, it does them efficiently and clearly with one of the simplest and clearest interfaces I have seen on a piece of software of this sophistication. If you thought you didn't need to defragment your Mac, Drive Genius II will prove you wrong and speed up your machine as a result. If you thought your hard drive was full, Drive Genius II will find spaces you never knew existed and give you a tidy lump of space back on your hard drive. The software is beautifully packaged, the online manual is easy and intuitive to use and, for anyone whose Mac is maybe getting a bit old, tired and full, this software will rejuvinate it. Highly recommended.
