Customer Reviews

Knockout!4
Purchased an Xbox 360 for Christmas and 6 games to get me started, last time i seriously played games was a long time ago (atari st days...) so i was looking for some games that i could pick up easily without too much time invested. Of those games this one, FN3 was easily the best, within 5 minutes u r fightin and enjoying the game. Initially with some very basic moves, as time goes by u want to learn how to throw the other punches. before u know it u just spent half a day playing FN3.

Graphics r good enough, the fighters r realistic with plenty to choose from, ali, hopkins, hatton etc and they move just like the pros move in the real world.

Music is typically hip-hop setting the atmosphere with realistic comentery if not a little repetitive at times.

Best things about this game:

2 player, this for me is the best reason to buy the game, Halo 3 is good, but this is instant pleasure.

Career mode allows u to manage ur fighter and fight as well adding a progressive quality to the game ( very addictive)

The basic punches r easy to pick up, ur buddies will learn this in 5 minutes but better than that they will want to learn more.

Knockdowns r very realistic, when a boxer gets hit u gotta defend well or ur going down its all good all realistic. going 8 or 10 rounds with a good fighter is just superb, very strategic, knowing when to make ur move and when to back up, clinch etc. and all the fighters r unique in how they fight, be warned there r a few curve balls in there....!

Gameplay is very smooth, and the timing of the punches is all so realistic, u find urself flinching and ducking in ur seat and yelling at ur fighter.

U can easily set up how ur fighter fights, u might choose Bernard hopkins but u can change him to south paw or change his stance or his punching style.

Training allows u to develop certain aspects of the fighters ability, u can train him to increase his stamina allowing him to go on in further rounds. or train him to hit harder etc etc Some stuff u can tweak to make it interesting.

Great thing is u can just fight one fight or jump into ur career mode and play for hours or replay one of the classic match ups.

XboxLive: not tried it yet, cant comment.

Downsides: dunno, whens FN4 coming out? The commentary is repetitive and the user manual has very small print thats about the only bad thing i can say....oh yeh the prices quoted for buying shorts and boots etc is unrealistic......

I love MMA (PRIDE, UFC) and regular boxing so im gonna be hard to please when it comes to a game like this, 4 Stars!! for 5 stars they need to improve the commentary and design a tournament section for multiplayer where ur mates can all enter and its knockout tourney.

Fight Night Round 35
Superb game, graphics are mind blowing.
Very realistic controls on configuration 3 for game pad.
Been a fan of this game for years, playing it on the X-Box is definitely better.
If you like Boxing this game will surely please you.

Great game5
I first played this game at a friends place and loved it, I just had to have it myself. The controlls are intuitive and feel more realistic than in your average beat em up game. The graphics are good and the gameplay is a lot of fun.
