Three weeks with a tz4
A great travel camera Handy size,easy to use,superb lens Only "weaknesses"are slow focus at max zoom and lack of optical viewfinder If you can live with that you cant go wrong Marvellous value

And yea as I walk through the valley of the digital camera.........

After a good while looking, reading,looking,reading and blah, blah etc etc...... I found a good camera at last!

Problem is that the market is overflowing with cameras at the moment and there is to much to choose from and they are not all good.I've sent back two cameras now because they were not up to scratch, even after doing the whole ' ok i've read every review I can find' thing.

I bought the TZ4 only yesterday and I'm not attuned with all the features yet but what a cracking camera. Feels soild to the point where I could quite happily bash it over my boss's head and still be sure that i'd be able to take a very good image of him slumped across his desk to remember the moment by. :)

The zoom is very good for the size of the camera. Yes it takes a bit longer to focus at max zoom but compared to other cameras that have a 3X optical that just about enlarge a photo of your toenail, trust me it is worth waiting that little bit longer, and the quality if fantastic at max zoom, surprised me so it did.

I only had the chance to take a few photo's before me better half grabbed it from my twitching hand after a well placed pressure point and proceeded to run out the door with her friends for a night out, but it took great quailty images indoors and outside in various light conditions which many cameras seem to have a problem with.

Choices then. If you want a great camera then buy a proper digital SLR,
Cannon 350d etc. But if you want a practical camera with out the hassle of having a crew of sherpa's to carry around extra lenses etc then the TZ4 is a wise choice.

Fantastic image quality, i own a canon digital slr and a fuji 10x zoom bridge camera and the tz4 is easily superior, handles very well and is very good quality build and has a good long life battery.
No optical view finder which is the biggest let down but even so has to be one of the best bargains availble, well reccomended.
