Customer Reviews

Never thought it would happen.5
Every few weeks for the last 23 years I've checked, but the original Osmonds albums (apart from 'The Plan' in 2001) never arrived on CD. Sure, there've been some good comps but for some reason the full albums never came.

This was rectified by 7ts records last month with the release of 8 Osmonds classics and this month it's Donny's turn. 'Alone Together' was the first LP I bought. It was back in the summer of '73 and I've always loved it. Containing 2 of his biggest hits in 'Young Love' and 'The Twelfth Of Never', the album had a more poppy, upbeat edge than his previous albums with tracks like 'Sunshine Rose', 'It's Hard To Say Goodbye' and 'It Takes A Lot Of Love'.

By the time 'A Time For Us' was released 6 months later, England was slightly Osmonded out. 'When I Fall In Love' 'only' got to number 4 and no further singles were released from it (at least in the UK). It's a laid-back, possibly trying to sound more grown-up sounding affair than 'Alone Together' and while I love the dramatic title track and 'A Million To One', the collection is less effective, I think.

But what a good job 7ts have done with these albums! 2 on 1 CD, very reasonably priced and they sound fabulous, far better than those comps you have. You couldn't really ask for more, (well, actually you could... The sleevenotes to most of these release refer to other songs that were (possibly) recorded at the time. How wonderful if these had been secured and included!) and 7ts deserve the highest praise possible for this series.

I totally agree with the first review!
7Ts have done a wonderful job on making us VERY VERY Happy!
I was initially put off by by the words "digitally remastered" and in my ignorance didnt know it would sound as good as it did!
I bought this on the personal recomendation of someone who had bought it, and so glad I did!
(You know what we are like over our vinyls!!!!)
I hope to purchase the rest of the collection(but not all at once) as a treat to myself for 38 happy Osmond years!(I am 50 this year and 12 when I first noticed them!!!!).
well done 7Ts!
love Kathyx
