The 42LG6000 delivers a huge dollop of style topped off with a fine sprinkling of substance.

	TruMotion TruMotion can reduce blurring on fast moving scenes by displaying one hundred images per second. Standard TV sets only display fifty images per second. TruMotion carefully analyses the picture signal by using advanced algorithms to automatically calculate a new image frame between each original frame. This technology reduces the perceived response time and the picture dragging ('smearing') phenomenon, providing life like details even in fast moving scenes. As LG uses S-IPS panels which offer increased screen quality, TruMotion helps to improve things further,resulting in picture quality that is better than TVs based on VA panels.
	Intelligent Sensor LCD TVs have brighter screens which may make your eyes tired, for example when watching TV at night or over extended periods. Also colours on the screen can appear to be distorted by a change of surrounding colour temperature. The Intelligent Sensor uses 4,096 RGB sensing steps to optimise the picture quality, by constantly analysing the brightness and colour temperature of the surrounding area. The RGB sensor optimises the brightness,contrast, colour, sharpness, and white balance â€" reducing unnecessary brightness. This technology can protect against eyestrain and reduces power consumption up to a maximum of 62%
	AV Mode LG TVs have 3 special preset AV Modes which provide the best suitable image quality and sound for specific types of content.They are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control.

	Invisible Speaker Wide Sweet Spot - The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker system, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. This new speaker system provides a clean and fashionable design compared with traditional side or bottom speaker designs.
	Clear Voice Sometimes when watching films it is difficult to hear human voices over the background sounds of their environment, due to the down-mixing that occurs to push 5.1 surround-sound through a TV's 2 channel speaker system. The Clear Voice feature alters the sound balance to emphasise human voices and reducing the background noise All input source (RF/AV/Component/HDMI) as well as Stereo and Mono broadcast can be controlled by Clear Voice.
	Simplink LG’s SIMPLINK system can control all the connected AV devices with one remote control. By pressing the SIMPLINK remote control key, you can switch on and control all devices connected by HDMI. When the TV is switched off, all connected AV devices are automatically switched off as well.

Stunning TV
I have no HD sources as yet (Sky HD coming in 2 days) but DVD's played via HDMI on my upscaling DVD player look amazing. Sound is also very good considering that you can't even see any speakers !
Nicest surprises were 1/ how lovely my digital photos look on this set (using a USB keyring plugged in the side) 2/ that I can also plug the camera itself straight into the TV and view the pics .. and 3/ how cool the set itself looks and 4/ it digitises the audio from my daughters wii that is plugged in the component sockets, and sends the audio out of its optical socket, making the whole setup easier.
Also 5/ my cat can turn it on/off with his nose by touching the illuminated hole at the bottom.
Great set, can't wait for some HD sources !!

Pound for pound, the best TV on the market
Put simply, for the price no TV comes close. Heard all the hype about Sony, Panasonic and Samsung, yet could see for myself that none of these, even the more expensive models, can match the picture quality of this TV.

And isn't that what good TVs are all about?
