Let It Be 2!5
I was fortunate to see this film when it was screened in Liverpool back in may 2008.
It is basically another Let It Be, which is not a bad thing, and it's great to see The Beatles back on the big screen.
It's also in memory of the late Neil Aspinall.

The film deals with the Las Vegas show, 'Love', performed by the Cirque De Solei (hope I've spelt that right), it's begginings, right up to the night it opens!
The film also see's the making of the album 'Love' which was mixed by George Martin and his son Giles. This all goes into great detail if how the whole show and album work and also the problems that came with it.

It feels very much like a sequel to the previous Beatles films, where when we last saw The Beatles on the big screen was Let It Be, and nearly forty years later, the next chapter arrives - without John and George, but with Yoko and Olivia observing the whole production!

We see many great clips of the fab four during the sixties, and up to date interviews and great clips of Paul and Ringo talking about the show and the past, and turning up for rehearsals which scare the hell out of Cirque, and are some of the best scenes of the piece.

If you enjoyed any of The Beatles films and Let It Be in particular then you will really enjoy this film.

I was very disappointed with this DVD1
I was very disappointed with this DVD. Not one Beatles song was played all the way through and only extracts from the Cirque du Soleil show were shown. I would have expected the complete Cirque du Soleil show to be included as a finale to this DVD. No such luck.
And did Sir Paul McCartney really have to swear on this documentary?

NOT QUITE IT2
After seeing the show in Vegas last year and reading the adverts for this DVD in the music press, my hope was that this would be an accurate visual account of the stunning performance.
No such luck and most of this material has been available on the Fab Four website.Looks like it means another trip to Vegas.
