Simple, inexpensive and effective
After reading (a small number of) negative reviews of the TOSlink splitter I was a bit worried I had made a poor choice. However, the switch and the included optical cables (described as "good value" hence maybe of lower quality) worked fine. I also mixed cables of different grades and still got good sound output. While I am not a guru on sound quality, I would say this product is very good value and has certainly done the job for me.

Great piece of kit
After reading some reviews on this item i was a bit dubious but i plugged it in to my Xbox 360 and my Sky HD box into my LG surround sound and it worked 1st time with no issues at all, 5 stars!! Does exactly what i wanted and doesn't cost that much. Highly recommended.

these don't work properly
This splitter box took ages to get it to work, and now it works intermittently with the xbox not working at all. It's fine when plugged straight in to amp with any of the leads but put it through any connection on the splitter and it won't work at all. I've tried all sorts of things to get it to work but it was a waste of time and money (and it seems I'm not the only one to find this). DON'T BUY IT.
