Customer Reviews

It's stupidly necessary3
We bought the Everion HD camcorder before Christmas but playback on the PC was jumpy. Playback on the tv was incredibly complicated so we got the sharestation to burn the DVD and play it on the DVD player easily.
Unfortunately the Burn DVD's will not work either on the DVD player or the PC. The Share Station burns only data disks, saving scenes in a proprietary (.TOD) file format. So they can only be played via the share station. Which is easy to do, connecting the camcorder to the tv and the share station to the camcorder, but not the easy experience of just having a DVD I had imagined. It seems the HD technology has over run the technology of the normal DVD player.
However when connected to the TV the picture is incredible. Crystal clear and luscious.
Shame though, we couldn't burn a DVD and give it to a friend. So for that reason I guess I wouldn't recommend it.
JVC GZ-HD10EK Ultra-Compact High Definition Camcorder with 16 hours of HD recording on 40GB HDD

It works!5
We thought long and hard about a burner before, in desperation, we bought this one. It couldn't be simpler to record directly on to the disc. We tried to record on to Memorex 16xDVD+R and it didn't work, then tried 16xDVD-R and so far we have copied 15 discs without any hitches. Playback is clear.

i bought this as the burner to use with my jvc and was dubious about the playback on other machines.its small enough to take with you including power unit as well.i found on my one and only use so far, the dvd,s can be played on other dvd players, however i used a dvd-r disc not the dvd-rw which came with the machine.so far i am impressed with it.hope this helps.
