POOR!
Having loved some of the earlier "Prince of Persia" games and being a fan of platform games in general I was quite excited when I found this was coming out and got my greedy little mits on it pretty quickly.
When I first started playing the game it was fun, fairly straight forward with an easy to grasp tutorial. Alas, this did not last for one simple reason; appalling controls!
I quote Ubisoft "Use the DS stylus to master the acrobatics, strategy and fighting tactics of the most agile warrior of all time." Hmmm "the most agile warrior of all time" eh? This is a touch generous in its description!
Don't get me wrong, I like the stylus and the DS is a great console, it just doesn't work with this game. You do not have enough precision to control the prince at all and what is actually a very easy game becomes so annoying you want to throw the game console across the room. You end up having to do insanely easy jumps three (or more) times because you tapped the screen a fraction of a milimetre away from where you should have...or more frequently the Prince does what he damn well pleases and jumps to his doom ignoring what you actually told him to do!
This is not a good game for anyone who gets annoyed easily...in fact it's not actually a good game at all after about 15 mins worth of play!
Truely awful!.
I bought this game with great expectations.
The graphics are beautiful, but they disguise the fact that the silver knight at the end of the first level is undefeatable.
It becomes very linear & tedious.
Its a pity, because the potential of this genre of game is boundless.
I would avoid this game!.
