Manufacturer's Description
Make sure you don't run out of power when playing your Wii ever again. Simply connect the docking station to your Nintendo Wii (or any other USB device) via the included USB cable and then simply dock your Wii Remotes to charge. No more need for expensive replacement batteries, this stylish docking station will even light up to tell you when your remotes are fully charged and ready to go!

I purchased this product from a different company and am currently looking to replace it. However I saw this here so figured I would write a quick review.

Both I and a friend own this, and both us dislike it. It is extremely tempermental, it will only charge one remote at a time (if you are lucky!) and even when it does charge the metal tabs which connect to the battery packs are very flakey - you have to get the position EXACT and even then a slight knock and it will dislodge.

Even when I managed to get one of the remotes to charge for several hours, the battery life is horrendous on the packs I received and would not last long at all compared to normal batteries (couple of hours tops!). In addition to that you have to have the Wii turned on for them to charge! Some stands apparently work whilest the Wii is on standby, but for these to work it has to be powered on.

The only potential plus side is that it's its own seperate docking station, as opposed to some of the other ones I have seen which look extremely bulky and house the Wii as well - so means I can put the charging stand out of site when not in use.

I would not have posted this if it was not for my friend having the same experiences as me. If you are looking around I would avoid buying this if possible.

Hi, as with the other review on this item,(wish i'd read it before purchase) I find the fact that the wii has to be left on, extremely irritating. The rechargeable batteries are completely useless and the bright LED's showing 'charging' and 'finished' are distracting if like me you have your wii under your telly. There are better one's out there so please read these reveiws and do your home-work before buying.

Be aware everybody, even buying from Amazon's Jersey distributor, it takes forever to arrive. The other thing to note with this item is that it is only powered from the Wii whilst the Wii is turned on, therefore it really defeats the whole object of having it. You are probably thinking of buying this so that you can do away with batteries in the Wii remote, and re-charge the remotes after you finish using them, great as long as you leave the Wii turned on. Turn the console off and no charge!

I have got around this problem by using my IPod mains charger and USB lead, which works a treat, shame the site doesn't tell you these things before you buy
