Super Mario Bros On The NES. What A Great Game!5
After the video games crash of 1983/1984 (although this only really applied to America) the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) came to the rescue, in 1985, and brought gaming back to the world that had been affected by the crash. This was one of the earliest games for it and no doubt one of the best. Using the simple control pad of 4 buttons and a D-pad the control system of the game is incredibly easy to use and get used to. The game type is that of a side scroller, meaning that you just move from left to right across the screen in 2 dimensions (although you can jump and fall so logically up and down aswell. It's a fantastic game that's so hard to fully complete it'll have you playing for years (I'm serious) the unfortunate problem of no save option (this wasn't actually available on home consoles at the time except on one or two rare occassions a few years later when they configured battery save technology) is countered by the ability to skip many levels using the "warp zones" located in hidden locations in levels (I know where they are but that's for you to find!). Put simply the plot is that you are Mario, the strange Italian plumber with a moustache, and you have to go searching through castles trying to find the castles that the Princess is hidden in who has been taken away by Bowser and you have to rescue her. You play 8 castles (each of which consists of four levels to complete) and that's really all there is to it. This is a classic game for any person, be they young or old, new to the world of gaming or so experienced in the gaming world that they remember things like the Magnavoc Odyssey!

This is deffinately a game I reccommend to all and for a cheap price you can get playing quickly and easily for much less money than any modern console and on a much better system with much better games.

Super Mario Bros on the NES a classic game that has stood the test of time and still remains one of the greatest games ever made!
