Third album from the Chicagoan emo-pop quintet follows 2007's 'Santi'. Moving away from the jerky post-punk of that album towards a more polished and streamlined pop-punk sound, they have turned in a set of uptempo, super-catchy, ultra-melodic tunes about growing up guaranteed to make their youthful fanbase pogo like crazy. Produced by Fueled By Ramen studio regulars Sam Hollander and Dave Katz, it includes the US hit single 'About A Girl' (not a cover of the Nirvana classic).

Fun Times with The Academy Is...
The Academy Is... Awesome! Great 3rd record. It's a joy to listen to, really fun. First thing i noticed was William Beckett's progression as a singer. Good vocals on the first 2 LPs, but he's stepped it up with an excellent performance throughout 'Fast Times...'. I heard 'About a Girl' live at the Warped Tour and it's a great track to start the album. The fun continues throughout with highlights for me being 'About a Girl', 'Summer Hair=Forever Young', 'His Girl Friday' 'Rumoured Nights', and 'After the Last Midtown Show'. I've heard it a few times and believe it to be their best work yet. The Academy Is... fans won't be disappointed.
